The Reserve Circle
The Reserve Circle
Canada’s Premier Undergraduate Wine & Social Society
The Queen’s Reserve Circle (QRC) was founded not to add another club to campus, but to create a setting that did not yet exist. What began as a small gathering has become a society defined by evenings where wine, conversation, and discernment come together.
Our members enjoy exclusive access to curated events, private tastings, and partnerships with some of the world’s most distinguished wineries. But membership is about more than connoisseurship — it is about entering a circle where taste, culture, and connection endure far beyond the glass.

The Reserve Circle is more than a chapter of your university life — it is an introduction to traditions, friendships, and refinement that last far beyond graduation.

From the Founders
The Reserve Circle began, as many lasting things do, with a conversation. Two friends, Macgregor and John, spoke often of wine — one shaped by the vineyards of Niagara-on-the-Lake, the other by family tables where bottles carried both memory and meaning. Different origins, a shared conclusion: wine is less about the glass than about those it gathers.
At Queen’s, they recognized the absence of such a setting. What followed was not the founding of a club, but the renewal of a tradition — one that blends taste with discourse, friendship with discernment, and evenings that extend quietly beyond themselves.
The Circle remains what it was from the first gathering: a society defined not by its structure, but by those within it.
